Went here for the first time on May 25, 2024 with another couple. Possibly the best meal and restaurant experience that I have had this year. From the awesome staff to the appetizer to the main courses to the desserts, it was a 10 across the board. We definitely will be back.

Outstanding cuisine and menu offerings! Very attentive servers who all took a vested interest in table engagement! The key with their cuisine is freshness with not a ton of added spices and devoid of salt, which finds you thinking about reaching for the salt but it's just beyond your grasp! Enjoy the fresh homemade offerings prepared by Chef Michael and save room for one of his simple but incredible desserts! As an added treat, Chef Michael dropped by our table to say "Hi!" and we talked a lil' wine and about his numerous prints in large frames that adorn every wall in the restaurant! Make sure to place a reservation! Cheers!

The ambience is cozy, the service and food is outstanding. I ordered the veal Sorrentino and my husband had the veal saltimbocca. My husband opted for the house salad and I opted for the soup which was heirloom tomato. We ordered a bottle of red Italian wine, a Barolo. We were served bruschetta right away. They also brought warm focaccia bread which reminded us of my husband's Noni. Everything was excellent!! We ended with the sherry cake with pistachio ice cream. Yummy! We definitely will return!

Our fine dining expectations were not disappointed. From start to finish, the service was impeccable. Everything was so delicious, even the gluten-free options for my wife. It was refreshing to see the patrons dressed appropriately for the occasion as well - it seems as if post-covid, attire for dining out has taken on a new meaning when it comes to fine dining. Classic traditional Italian dishes, like the rich Bolognese sauce (or Nonna's gravy). How much this food reminded me of dining with my friends Sicilian family on the weekends. Authentic!

We found this place on recommendation from a local in Pacific Grove so we tried it. It's an Italian place, we arrived before the dinner rush around 5:00 pm otherwise we would have needed reservations on a weekday. This place is very authentic Italian. All of their pastas are homemade. We ordered the calamari as an appetizer and it was not deep fried but floured and cooked in a pan until tender OMG it was good. Husband ordered the Farfalle Bolognese, perfect pasta tossed with a rich beef tomato sauce and topped with creamy ricotta cheese. I ordered the Tortiglioni with Sausage. Again perfect Tortiglioni pasta tossed with delicious house-made Italian sausage, onions, and red peppers in a spicy tomato sauce with Sicilian "Diavolilli" chilies. So it is somewhat spicy but so good. Bread with olive oil and balsamic is served with the meal and so is either a choice of salad or soup which was split pea. We chose a salad and it was very flavorful with their homemade dressing. For dessert we shared strawberry shortcake and coffee. Homemade biscuit with fresh sweet strawberries and fresh whipped cream. Wow it was heaven on earth. They also have an extensive wine list so I had the Pinot Grigio and my spouse ordered a red mix. All very good. The ambiance is very pleasing lots of Italian modern art. Nicely decorated and comfortable. Host and server were friendly and very helpful. They greeted the locals like family and our host was wonderful. We loved her. We will be back thank you.

The rosemary bread with olive oil and balsamic dip served as a part of your experience, is unique and beyond description. Even if you don't like bread, try it. But one of the hidden features of Mia La Cucina is its careful acoustic design that absorbs sound, eliminating that noisy restaurant wall-of-cacophony often found in even some of the finest restaurants. Michael Scanlon is more than just a skilled chef. He and his wife Paula are accessible to their diners, and the staff has been carefully selected to set a warm and inviting tone. Mia La Cucina is one of our favorite Italian/European restaurants in not just Pacific Grove, but the Monterey Bay area.

I had the loveliest birthday dinner here tonight!!! Our server Gabe was attentive and gave us great service. The service all around was fast. The food was spectacular. I enjoyed everything I ate! Was given a complimentary dessert for my birthday which was a nice touch as well. The restaurants vibe was so warm and inviting. Overall, would absolutely come again!!

We enjoyed this restaurant overall but found the food a bit lacking of 5 stars. We gave the restaurant 5 stars because of the staff. We had the burrata tomatoes which was the star of the meal for an appetizer. The basil oil was fantastic with a bit of balsamic which our waiter recommended. The bread was also fantastic with the balsamic and olive oil. My wife had the lobster ravioli which was ok in our opinion. The filling was not up to expectations and too sweet for our liking. It had an almost sweet potato taste to it, difficult to taste the lobster. I had the sand dabs which were overcooked and tasted like they'd been sitting under a heat lamp. The mashed potatoes served with the sand dabs were great though and had a nice buttery finish that made the sand dabs easier to enjoy. The top prize goes to the staff. The man who seated us wasn't very friendly or welcoming but the bus staff, waiter and everyone else we spoke to during our dinner were amazing. The bus staff were prompt, the waiter was welcoming and attentive and everyone we spoke to after the host, were excellent. We would come back for the staff and burrata tomato dish but this time I would try another ravioli as the pasta and sauce themselves were great, we just had a problem with the filling.

We tried this restaurant for the first time this last weekend and absolutely loved it! The service and ambience were great, and the food was amazing. We loved the small extra touches that went into the meal - bruschetta right when we sat down, complimentary bread service, and little hearts at our table for our anniversary. My husband had the pasta special and I had the mushroom ravioli. Both were so good!! We will definitely be back!
